TO provide a research program to foster individual faculty scholarly activity in clinical education settings networked to a regional program for investigating the impact of medication therapy management in individual patients as well as health and economic outcomes.

TO establish a seamless, regional drug development (pre-clinical, Phase I-III) environment within the biomedical research community and for optimizing the investigation of pharmacologic and diagnostic agents during the post-approval period (Phase IV).
